Moving forward, the company will operate as <strong>Venko, A BrandSafway Company<\/strong> and become a part of Brand Energy &#038; Infrastructure Services (Brand) in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to announce the closing of the acquisition of Venko,\u201d said Dave Witsken, President of Energy and Industrial for BrandSafway. \u201cVenko is a leading offshore coatings maintenance provider for platforms in Europe. By leveraging the highly specialized knowledge and capabilities of Venko, we will be able to provide expanded coatings services to Brand\u2019s European customers. At the same time, with our support, Venko will now be able to offer their customers a broader inventory of access equipment and additional industrial services, such as insulation and fireproofing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Based in the Netherlands, with operations in the North Sea area, Venko specializes in the maintenance of coatings on steel structures \u2013 from offshore applications to civil projects and bridges in Europe. Founded in 1975 and employing up to 500 people in peak season, Venko has its headquarters in Hoogeveen, with branch locations in Arnhem, Den Helder and Ridderkerk in the Netherlands, and Great Yarmouth and Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have worked together as partners on industrial jobs for several years,\u201d said Andre Hofman, Managing Director of Venko, \u201cand we look forward to being on the same team.
