READING OF MINUTES:  Laura Reynolds accepted the minutes as sent out and Jennifer Vogelzang 2nd it.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT:  FHS Band Camp schedule will be coming out soon.  Everyone, going to camp, needs to turn in an Accepts Form to be assigned their part in the show.   This is found in the “kids” Facebook FHS Band & Guard.  Music has been sent out to those that have turned in their forms.  If you have trouble finding the form, email Band Boosters.  This needs to be done ASAP so Mr. Menefee can assign your part and have a complete program before Band Camp starts.

TREASURER’S REPORT:  $13,000 in checking and $32,000 in savings accounts, these include all restricted and unrestricted accounts.  Fred Meyer gift cards are available year round and Wendy Burnett had some on hand if people wanted to purchase some at face value.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

UNIFORMS:  Kids that were asked to go to the wedding in August will be fitted prior to the wedding and will be ready for Band Camp.  Fitting times will be coming out soon and will be done around preregistration.

COMMUNICATIONS:  Greg Hansen is updating our website for FHS Band and Color Guard.  He would like photos of the band for the website throughout the year.  No videos of any shows will be posted prior to first competition.

VOLUNTEER:  Sign up for band camp volunteering on website.  If you would like to camp out at Camp Lutherwood, you may call them.  $30/night for water and power hook up.

SPONSORSHIP:  The committee tries to meet once a month.  We have one of the lowest budgets at these competitions.  They are trying to raise more money from alumni, families, businesses, and corporations.  All money donated to the Band and Color Guard is tax deductible.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

BAND CAMP:  Schedule will be coming out.  Remember to bring water bottles.  You need to eat breakfast before you come and bring a sack lunch.   Afternoon snack and dinner are the only things that are provided.

TOUR DE WHATCOM REPORT:  With tips and pay for running the 3 stations at Alger, Lynden, and Ferndale, the total profit we made was $900.  Good job!

NEW BUSINESS:

TRINKETS AND TREASURES:  Jennifer Vogelzang would like to start a committee.  She needs help with advertising and organizing Trinkets and Treasures that happens twice a year.  The first one is scheduled to be Nov. 4, 2017.  This is one of the three big fund raisers for band.  The other is Tour de Whatcom.

WEBSITE:  Greg Hansen showed us the improved website he is working on and wanted input on what we thought should be on the website and what he is able to do.  He is working on making it user friendly.

ENDED:  7:40 P.M.
