Directors Report: Band camp went awesome this year and we are much further along thanks to all the help we have received from everyone.

Treasurers Report: We have $14,994.23 in our checking account after all of the restricted accounts. We received a total of $1,445.32 from Tour de Whatcom (including tips). We still have Fred Meyer gift cards available to purchase. If interested please email the band.

Uniforms: Drum Majors and percussion will be in costumes. Full uniforms are to be worn they entire time and no food or drink (except for water) is to be consumed while in uniform. T-shirts (no tank tops) are to be worn under the uniform to protect the uniforms from sweat.

Volunteers: Things are going great. We have competitions coming up where we will need more volunteers. Signups will be posted soon as to what is needed for the competitions. ALL volunteers need to fill out a background check and turn it in at the district office. Paperwork can be found online at the district website.

Communication/Sponsorship: Laura will be having a meeting with Greg to go over the band website so she can start updating it. Volunteers will be needed to fold and stuff the letters that will be going to the alumni and family members.
Fundraisers:

Band kids will be selling butterbraids in October. Kids earn 50% of what they sell.
Trinkets and Treasurers is right around the corner on November 4th. We need silent auction items.
Possibility of having a coffee/cocoa bar during home football games. Need to speak with the athletic director
The clothing drive is still going on and the box is in the band room. Clothes can be brought anytime.

New Business:

  • The golf cart has been fixed
  • Equipment trailer is good to go for the season
  • Tumwater Competition is an overnight competition. More information will be coming out as it gets closer
